Sun or Shade... artist's choice for plein air this week.

Thursday plein air group stays local at Adam Tallman Park to paint. It is close to the Lodge at Mallard's Landing (where we will have our Plein Air Show in October). It has 2 ponds with trails around and viewing platforms over the water. It is very shady in most parts- a good place to paint in the expected warm weather. Bring water, a spot of lunch and perhaps some but bring the bug repellent just in case! I'm hoping to be there for the morning light by 9:30- see you there!

Directions:
From Hwy 16- take the Wollochet/City Center exit
Go SOUTH (away from Gig Harbor downtown- towards Fox Is)
VERY SOON- watch to the right for MALLARDS LANDING sign/Wagner Way- turn right.(It's between 2 small strip malls, across from Shell station. If you get to Hunt Dr/signal- you missed it!)
Turn right on Wagner Way, parking is past pond on right side (you get a glimpse on each side of road) there is a concrete block building that looks like public restroom (but it's a pumping station). Trail access is from parking- or walk past ponds to back of strip mall and catch the loop trail there. Trail is paved- so wheeled transport works well. There are 2 deck over looks on larger pond closest to freeway, and one on the other pond.
