Nurturing the Creative Spirit of Artists Throughout the Gig Harbor Area

We were invited to paint at Marion Ekberg's garden- what a lovely
setting- so many choices! Feather went for the Garden "Shed" (too nice
to call a shed!) and I painted pots on a rack- yup- I need to finish the
watering can yet- but captured the light and shadows that attracted me.
I was working on new (to me!) brown "card" (resin impregnated) panel
like Degas sometimes used. Pat Lebbert did nice small painting of
statuary (I think it was rabbit from Alice in Wonderland), and others came to
sketch and photo. We have invite to return- I sure would like to go back again- Thanks, Ekbergs!
Nestled on the western shores of Washington's Puget Sound, the Gig Harbor Peninsula has long been a magnet for artists. For nearly three decades the Peninsula Art League has supported and nurtured the area's diverse artistic community. This blog was created to showcase the works and events of the Peninsula Art League members.
