Hello Art Lovers!

I've been very busy so far this fall what with the Gig Harbor Open Studio Tour, demonstrating at the Puyallup Fair Art Show in September and the last of the season Port Orchard ArtWalk in October. Thanks to all who came to those events. Coming up:

I have two pastel paintings (Lena Lake Trail Shadows and Market Conversation) in the Peninsula Art League's annual juried show at the Gig Harbor Civic Center. Lena Lake Trail Shadows won a Donor's Award!

I have three pastel paintings of barns at University House ERA Living in Issaquah WA. It's located at 22975 SE Black Nugget Rd, Issaquah WA, just up the road behind Home Depot and the show runs through March 6th 2011. There will be a reception on Saturday November 6th from 2pm to 4pm so come on by and say hi!

I will have 37 paintings hanging at the Peninsula College Gallery of Art in Port Angeles WA from November 2nd to December 3rd. If you find yourself up in that area, please drop by to see my "Eyes and Ears" series of small oil paintings along with several large forest oil paintings. The show is called "Intimate Faces/Intimate Places".

I will have a pastel painting, Adelaide Near St. Peter's, hanging in the Northwest Pastel Society's annual international juried show at the American Art Company in Tacoma WA running from November 13th to December 21st with our reception on November 13th from 1pm to 3pm. I hope you can make it to see all the incredible art that always makes up this show.

I also have an original pastel painting and two prints hanging at Bay Street Bistro, a new Italian restaurant on Bay St. in downtown Port Orchard. Check them out for an exquisite lunch or dinner.

And if you are in any of the following areas, be sure to check out my work at my usual venues:
Bainbridge Arts and Crafts in Winslow on Bainbridge Island
Collective Visions Gallery on 4th and Pacific in Bremerton
Kimball Espresso and Gallery on Kimball in Gig Harbor
Modern Villa Gallery in Cannon Beach OR

If you cannot make it to any of the above venues, I would be happy to show you my work at my studio. Just give me a call at 360-620-4071.
Make art part of your life and have a stress-free Holiday Season!

Peninsula Art League's 8th Annual Open Juried Exhibition

The Peninsula Art League's 8th Annual Open Juried Exhibition is being held at the Gig Harbor Civic Center from October 20 to November 19, 2010.  The juror this year is Ron Ranson, an artist, teacher and author who recently relocated from England to the Pacific Northwest.

As I dropped off my paintings for the show today, I saw excellent works from Charles Salak, Mary McInnis, Nan Feagin, Donna Carver, Michele Sleight, Lynn Guenard, George Milliken, Anne Moore Knapp, Myrna Binion, and many other names I didn't recognize.  The quality of work was impressive, and I can only imagine the difficult job Ron Ranson will have in judging this show.

The artist reception is on October 22, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.  If you're local, please join us for the reception.  This is a show you won't want to miss!

Last weekend I took several new paintings down to Modern Villa Gallery in Cannon Beach OR. They now have eight of my original oil paintings, so if you get down that way be sure to stop in to say hello to Molly or Louise. FYI, Cannon Beach will be hosting their annual Stormy Weather Arts Festival on November 5-7 so hop on down for a weekend of fun!
